Blade construction: Hirazukuri, Mitsu-mune, Thick Kasane and Sakizori curvature. The Fukura is in full. There is Kakitoshi Hi grooves on both sides. Forging(Hada): Kitae is well knead Itame mixing in flowing O-hada. It is entirely and splendidly active with Chikei. Temper(Hamon): Hamon is Notare mixing in with Gunome. The habuchi is covered in uniform Nie and deep Nioi-kuchi. There is rich activity in ther interior of temper, frequent Sunagashi and Kinsen. Temper of tip(Boshi): Boshi is Togari streaked with frequent Sunagashi activity. Tang(Nakago): UBU, two peg holes. The signature on Hakiomote is five charactors that reads TAI KEI NAO TANE SAKU and URA is engraving the date of year THE SECOND MONTH OF THE LUNAR YEAR IN THE 11TH MONTH OF BUNKA(year of 1814). This is a superb article of Taikei Naotane on his earlier term under Soshu school. His real name is Souji Minobei and Taikei for a title, the best pupil of Suishinshi Masahide. He is skilled in Gokaden(five schools) and one of the best skillful sword smiths during Shin shin to period. This work was made when he was 35 years old. The Kitane is clear Itame mixing with swirl hada that resembles to one of Akihiro in the ancient period. The entire blade is sound condition. Gold double foil habaki collar, Shira-Saya Mounting.
